Mildred E. Karl, 70, 207 Monica Lane, Beaver Dam, died Friday, April 13, at the home of her son. Funeral services will be at 2pm Monday at the Briese Roedl Weber funeral home in Beaver Dam with the Rev. Russell L. Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Karl was born Dec. 19, 1919, in Brillion, WI; the daughter of Fred and Erma(Gadicke)Abitz. She married Elmer P. Karl on Sept. 22, 1932. Mrs. Karl worked as a nurse's aide at Dodge County Mental Health Center until retirement in 1981. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church and AFSCME. Survivors include three sons, Ervin F. (Loretta) Karl, Paul E. (Evelyn) Karl, both of Beaver Dam, and Elmer P.(Cheryl) Karl Jr. of Cambria; two daughters, Ruth (Gerald G.) Kratz of Beaver Dam and Beatrice (Don E.) Rohde of Batavia, ILL., 12 grandchildren, three stepgrandsons; one sister, Marcella (Jess) Boettcher of Brillion, WI; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1961 and one granddaughter, Theresa, in 1970.
