Martha Jane Wright Burns died at only 49 years of age. She was the daughter of Milton Fletcher & Mary Nance Shell Wright.
She was born in Georgia. The family moved to Blount County, Alabama when she was just a child.
She married James Madison Burns on Nov 2, 1876. She was the mother of 10 children. 1. William Marvin (Ada Lula Bradford & Newson Saddler) 2. Mary Ella (Charles Joseph Wood)3. Nena Blanche ( John Emmitt Laing) 4. Jesse Milton (Mary Ethel Moore & Omie Pope) 5.David Algernon ( Ruth Margaret Phillips) 6.James Rufus (Alta D. Addington & Josephine Ellgy Tillman)

The tall stone on the right is the original stone. Several years ago the family went together and purchased the one with both names.
