In probate records for Jonathan Peter a Samuel Lowe (maybe a brother-in-law) owed the estate money and it was agreed by the heirs that in lieu of payment Mr. Lowe was to build a wall around the graves of Jonathan Peter. The wall was to be (15 ft. long X 11 ft. wide X 4 ft. high and 1 ft. thick) Heirs do "agree to pay for the wall to run so far as to in close his sons grave" With these statements it does seem Jonathan Peter was buried next to or very near his son Charles Peter.

Jonathan Peter married Mary Radcliff June 29, 1790 in Mercer Co., KY. They had 10 children.

The family lived in Washington Co., KY during most of the 1790's/1800's and may have lived a short time after that in Henry Co., KY.
On Sep. 15, 1812 Jonathan Peter of Henry Co., KY purchased land in Jefferson Co., IN.
On Nov. 10, 1815 Jonathan Peter Of Jefferson Co., Indiana Territory purchased land in Harrison Co., IN. SE 1/4 of Section 33.
On Dec. 8, 1815 he purchased the SW 1/4 of the same Section 33. Jonathan and Mary Peter later sold the east 1/2 of SE 1/4 section 33 to John Davis.

1)Charles Peter (1791-1829) married Mary "Polly" Davis March 17, 1813 in Washington Co., KY. daughter of above mentioned John Davis. Charles was deceased by the time of the probate of his father's estate and his five heirs were mentioned as John, Mary, Sarah, (Nicholas) Smith, and Elizabeth.
2)Elizabeth Peter (1792-1853) married John R. Cole. He died before 1830.
3)Jane Peter (abt.1794-aft.1860) married Henry Hogland/Hoagland. He died before 1850. Sisters Elizabeth and Jane Peter were both married Aug 28, 1814 in Jefferson Co., IN. It also seems Elizabeth's son married Jane's daughter.
4)Sarah "Milly" Peter(abt 1796-aft 1860) married Thomas Long Aug. 17, 1816 in Harrison Co., IN.
5)Jonathan Peter (abt.1800-1873) married Rebecca Wellman consent by father Samuel Wellman Sr. by brother Samuel Wellman Jr Feb. 1822 in Harrison Co., IN. Jonathan Peter and his sister Mary "Polly" Peter married siblings and they applied for their marriage on the same day Jan. 31, 1822.
6)William Peter (1801-1841) married Elizabeth Stephens on October 26, 1824 in Harrison Co., IN.
7)Mary "Polly" Peter (abt.1803-aft.1860) married Samuel Wellman Jr. in Harrison Co., IN Feb. 1822. Consent giving by father Jonathan Peter Sr. and brother Jonathan Peter Jr.
8)Martha "Patsy" Peter (1807-1877) married John McKinney Tarr Feb. 3, 1827 in Harrison Co., IN.
9)Rebecca W Peter (1808-1873) married Greenup Tarr on September 15, 1836 in Harrison Co., IN.
10)John Radcliff Peter (abt 1811-1867) married Permilla Tatum Jan. 9, 1832 in Monroe Co., IN and later married Savilla Crone Riley on June 14, 1859 in Harrison Co., IN.
