Margaret was a member of the Salish Indian Tribe. First wife of Joyce Leroy JEFFRYES. Married in the early to mid 1920s, Margaret and Joyce were the parents of Jeanne Marie and Mary Joyce JEFFRYES. After Margaret's divorce from Joyce, Margaret and the girls lived on the Flathead Reservation in Montana throughout the 1930s.

Mrs. Baird, a Tigard area resident 43 years, died Sunday in a Portland hospital. She was 70. She was born Sept. 12, 1904, in Polson, Mont. Survivors include her husband Lannes; daughters Mary Gillette of Nampa, Idaho, and Jeanne Price, Coquitlam, B.C.; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
