ALEXANDRIA, Ind. — Keumars "Q" Ahdieh, 70, of Alexandria, passed away April 2, 2011, at Bethany Pointe Health Campus in Anderson.

He was born Oct. 18, 1940, in Tehran, Iran, and resided in Alexandria. He lived in the Muncie area for over 35 years.

Q was a fourth-generation member of the Baha'i Faith and a member of the Muncie Baha'i Community for many years.

He graduated with a master's degree in engineering from Northwestern Missouri State University in 1970; as well as furthering his education at several technical schools throughout the world.

Q traveled around the world three times and was always eager to share his stories and experiences with friends. One of his proudest moments was on Oct. 25, 1985, when he was naturalized as a United States citizen.

Q's most memorable and enjoyable occasions of his life revolved around the exceptional Persian dinners he loving prepared. He also loved wood carving.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Landon Ahdieh; two sons, Keumars A. Ahdieh II and his wife Theresa, of China, and Kamran Ahdieh, of Muncie; stepdaughter, Melissa and her husband Curtis Thomas, of North Carolina; stepson, Brady L. Landon and his fiancee Georgia, of Elwood; his brother, Faramars Ahdieh; eight grandchildren, Monique M. Ahdieh, Ty Ahdieh, Carson Thomas, Haley and Taner Landon, Kayla, Korbin and Devon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Abdullah and Touran (Modarai) Ahdieh; and three sisters.

Q touched the hearts of everyone he met, and will be remembered as a generous, kind, considerate, loving father, husband, grandpa and friend.
