LUCINDA (GOOD) SMITH was born Nov 30, 1813 in Sullivan Co., Tennessee, and died Jul 29, 1864 in Eagle Twp., Richland Co., Wisconsin. She married MARTIN VAN BUREN SMITH Dec 17, 1840 in Henry Co., Indiana. He was born about 1819 in Virginia, and died Dec 1, 1862 in Black River, Missouri from disease while serving in Company D, 11th Infantry Regiment Wisconsin during the Civil War. They had five children; Christina, Jesse, Lydia and Camil, all born in Indiana, and John, born in Wisconsin.
Lucinda was the daughter of Jacob Good (1784-1851), and Sarah Goddard (1785-1864). Her parents are buried in the Hopewell Cemetery, Kokomo, Howard Co., Indiana.
