Two of these nine children are deceased--Richard and Carl. The survivors are as follows: Five daughters, Mrs. Herbert S. (Clara Vaughn) O'Brien of Eagle Bay, N.Y., Mrs Ellis (Esther) Brittain of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Milton (Alva) Newman of Houston, Mrs Charles (Katie) Popham Sr. of Pasadena, Texas, and Mrs. Roy (Angeline) Holbrook of Oklahoma City; two sons, James W. Hatcher of Pasadena, Texas, and Archie Hatcher of Beeville; one sister, Mrs Garland Griffice of Lohn, Texas; two brothers, Frank Williams of Pipe Creek, Texas, and Rev. Harvey Williams of Kermit, Texas; 30 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great grandchildren.
