Bryon Wesley Dangerfield was born 28 August 1867 in Oxford on Rideau, Grenville, Ontario, Canada. His parents were Thomas Dangerfield and Mary Jane Howes. He married Elizabeth Edith Carson Nieman on 28 April 1920 in San Jose, Santa Clara, California. Elizabeth died in 1930 and was buried in Oak Hill Memorial Park in San Jose. Wesley died 22 December 1949 and was buried December 24th.

His obituary read as follows:

"DANGERFIELD - In San Jose, California, December 22, 1949, B. Wesley Dangerfield, loving brother of Mrs. G.W. Spotswood of San Jose, Mrs. Annie Crawford, Mrs. Lillian Summerville, Herbert, Burt and Will Dangerfield all of Canada. A native of Canada. Aged 82 years.

Friends are invited to attend the funeral, Saturday, December 24, 1949, at 1:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Amos O. Williams Co., East Santa Clara Street at Eighth. Interment, Santa Clara City Cemetery. Parking provided at 321 E. Santa Clara St."
