MRS. LUCIE C. SPENCER, 82, a class of 1900 graduate of Syracuse University, died at her home, 830 Jefferson St., Phoenix, after a long illness. She studied organ and violin in the College of Fine Arts at Syracuse and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. A member of the Phoenix Methodist Church, Mrs. Spencer belonged to the Women’s Society of Christian Service, the Friendly Guild and the Center Circle of that church and was a member of the Topics Club of Phoenix. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Donald V. Sotherden of Clay; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Phoenix Methodist Church, the Rev. John W. Annas officiating. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Town of Clay. Friends may call from 7 to 9 Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hopkins Funeral Homes, Main St., Phoenix.
