Then on Feb 27, 1797 the lease was proved by the oath of Archelaus Gilliam, John Nichols, Jr., and Patrick Lynch witnesses whose names are thereunto subscribed. George Thomas Brown's name was not mentioned in February, so I suspect he had gone to Montgomery County by then.
