HENRY BECKMAN
Henry Beckman was born in Lonstead, Germany, October 14, 1851, and departed this life at the home of his son Otto, near Reading, Mich., July 2, 1936, at the age of 84 years, 8 months and 18 days.
When he was 19 years of age he came to this country and one year later was united in marriage to Miss Bertha Redivish. To this union two children were born, a daughter and a son who died in infancy. Two years and a half later he suffered the loss of his companion.
One year later he was united in marriage to Miss Angelina Heckman and to this union seven children were born, one of whom (Henry) preceded him in death in 1914.
Following his second marriage they resided in Elmore. Ohio, for a short time. Four years later they moved to Paulding county. Ohio, where they resided until the death of his wife November 24, 1916, at the age of 61 years.
Following her death he came to Michigan and located at Jonesville. For the past seven years he has resided with his son.
He was a member of the Seventh Day Advantist church, faithful and true to the faith until his death.
He leaves to mourn their loss three daughters--Mrs. Mary Bizo and Mrs. Bertha Kyser, of Jonesville, and Mrs Clare Schell, of Brooklyn, N. Y.; four sons--John, of Eaton Rapids, Charles, of Jonesville, Fred and Otto, of Reading; 26 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs Kate Colson, of Brooklyn, N. Y., two brothers--William, N. Y., and Bartelled, of Germany, and many other relatives and friends.
Mr Beckman remained at the Stiefel funeral chapel until Sunday morning when funeral services were held at the Baptist church at 9 o'clock, the pastor, S. H. Dull, officiating, and burial was in Blue Creek cemetery at Paulding, O.

By marriage certificate Henry was born in Isensee, near Osten, Hanover, Germany.
