G. A. Flournoy Succumbs to Long Illness
Funeral services for George A. Flournoy, 70, of 3547 Lakeland, who died early Sunday after a long illness, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday in the Rose-Neath Funeral Home chapel. He was the brother of Sheriff J. Howell Flournoy of Caddo Parish.
The Rev. Lowell C. Todd, chaplain of the Veterans Administration hospital here, will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Survivors include Robert H. Flournoy; two brothers, J. Howell Flournoy, Shreveport; and Ted Flournoy, Monroe; and a sister, Miss Margaret Flournoy, Shreveport.
Pallbearers will be William G. Powell, Percy A. Shipp, W. P. Pearce Jr., Gordon M. Carr, Ralph Farris and Homer C. Bryant Jr.
The Lowe-McFarlane post of the American Legion will render military honors at the graveside.
