Robert Edward Lamb "the Milkman", 87, of Pleasantville, Iowa, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Bright Kavanagh House, in Des Moines, IA. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, in Pleasantville. Interment will be in Pleasantville Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. Friday, April 15 at Mason Funeral Home, Pleasantville where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Robert drove truck for Flynn Dairy and Roberts Dairy.

Robert will be missed by his children, Robert Joe (Sherry) Lamb, Mitchellville, Rose Lamb McCann, Newton, Bonita (Jack) Mosher, Pleasant Hill and Steven (Kathleen) Lamb, Dubuque; grandchildren, Marc (Samantha) McCann, Carl (Heather) McCann, Lora Lamb and Jeremiah (Lorinda)Lamb, Robert (Tammy) Wickett, David Wickett and Traci Schutty, and Melinda Wickett; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren and one sister, Marjorie Rowland and many nieces and nephews, honorary grandchildren and honorary great-grandchildren,and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Steele Lamb, son, Rodney Jae Lamb, his father, Cleophus (C.W.) and mother, Lela Lamb, brothers Homer Bud Ury, Cleophus (Gene) Lamb, Raymond Lamb, sisters Garnet Ury Thornburg, and Lois Ury Heaberlin.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa - Knoxville Team, Pleasantville Fire and Rescue and flowers may be sent from Flowers Island in Carlisle. Online condolences may be left at bertrandfuneralhomes.com.
