Dewain Winget is together again with his sweet wife, Leah, who passed away earlier this year. They were married almost 50 years.

Dewain died at home November 12, 1999.He was born August 13, 1924 in Austin, Utah to Ellis and Ida Mae Baldwin Winget. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leah; son, Dewain; brother, Sherral E. Winget; sister, Dorothy Harris Foisy. Dewain was a special husband, father, grandfather, friend and brother.

Our family will cherish the memories of the life we all shared with him.

He served in the Merchant Marines and the Army in World War II and the Korean War. He was a dedicated worker at Kennecott Copper for over 32 years as a brick mason. Dewain loved to garden, go fishing, play cards, and tease his family. He also enjoyed his friends at the Kearns Senior Citizens Center.

Survived by his five children who love him dearly, Craig A. Winget and Anna Moore; Rebecca and Ronald Duffin; Sherral D. and Valerie Winget; Christina and John Kyriopoulos and Julie and Blane Rustan; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gayle Winget; brother, Lerue and Nola Winget; sister, Maurine and Orrin Colby; brother-in-law, Allan Foisy.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Harmony Hospice for their love and care.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where friends may call Tuesday, 1-1:45 p.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
