According to the church records of Wolfskirchen, she was born in Wolfskirchen, Bas-Rhin, France on 14 Nov. 1818 [different from birth date on the tombstone]; she emigrated to America with her parents on the ship "Ville de Paris" which landed in New Orleans on 4 May 1838; she was first married to Jacob Lepere on 25 Feb. 1840 in Millstadt and after his death she married Peter Ruhmann on 27 April 1848.
