BROWN - Ethel Armitage Brown of 1355 "M" Street, Springfield, passed away June 4, 1972. She was born April 22, 1906 in Eugene, Oregon. A graduate of Oregon State College in 1927; a member of Delta Zeta Sorority; had been with the Springfield High School from 1957 to 1976. Mother of Richard A., in the Air Force and Wayne E. of Springfield; five grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Mabel) Grant of San Mateo, California. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 7th at 1:30 p.m. in the ENGLAND FUNERAL HOME. Reverent Walter Gray officiating with interment in the Gillespie Cemetery. ~~~END~~~

The granddaughter of four Lane County pioneers: George Henry & Sarah Jane (Stevens) Armitage and Elmer Norton & Sarah Naomi (Harlow) Calef. She was married to Roy Elmer Brown.
