Relocated: from Chatham co., North Carolina, 1804, Ohio The move was in 1804, and there were about 40 men, women and children on the wagon train. They left Chatham Co in early September of that year, and arrived in the Ross Co area 6 weeks later in the middle of October. They settled mostly in the area near Richmond Dale in Ross Co and up through Eagle twp of what is now Vinton Co. Some of the families on this trip were:

Jonathan married Ann HINSON, daughter of Lazarus HINSON and Martha HOLDER, about 1798 in Chatham co., North Carolina.1 2 (Ann HINSON was born on 6 Jun 1778 in Chatham co., North Carolina,4 5 8 died on 16 Oct 1864 in Essex twp., Stark co., Illinois 4 9 and was buried after 16 Oct 1864 in Sheets Cemetery, Essex twp., Stark co., Illinois.

Marriage Notes:
There may have been another child of Ann's, Britt Graves, who was apparently born before Ann married Jonathan. He always went by the name Graves, although that was not his given name. This information was from Austin Graves, told to him by his father William Graves.
