Glass Company Owner Is Dead

Edmund B. Taylor, 67, Dies Here Wednesday

Edmund B. Taylor, 67, president and owner of the Taylor Glass Co. in Lima and member of the Association of Commerce and the Lima Better Business bureau, died following an illness of three weeks, at 5 p.m. Wednesday in St. Rita's hospital. Death was attributed to a heart attack.

Prominent for a number of years in business circles, Taylor also was a member of Shawnee Country club, past vice-president of the Sons of American Revolution, Troubadour club, past president of the Lima Rotary club and also past president of the old Lima club. He was a member of Christ church, Episcopal.

Born in Frankfort, Ky., he had been a resident of this community a number of years. He enlisted in the Army for the Spanish-American war but saw no active service.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Battelle Taylor, 1141 Rice-av; four sons, Capt. E. B. Taylor, Jr., U.S. Naval Academy; Cmdr. Crittenden B. Taylor, San Bruno, Calif.; Richard B. Taylor, Lima, former major in the AAF, and Lt. Cmdr. Thomas H. Taylor, Charleston, S.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Rebecca Jane Klein, wife of Cmdr. Doyan Klein, Washington, D.C.; a brother, Thomas H. Taylor, Pittsburgh, Pa., and two sisters, Miss Sarah C., Frankfort, Ky., and Miss Adeline C., Louisville, Ky.

The body will remain at the Davis, Miller and Son funeral home where services will be conducted at a time to be announced. Rev. Stephen Kelker will officiate and burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. The Troubadour club will attend the services in a group.
