Nov. 13, 1869 – Dec. 26, 1932
Buffalo Center friends were saddened Monday forenoon when it was reported that Mrs. Julia Benson had passed away. She had been a resident of this city for many years and was well known. Mrs. Benson had been living along and while it was known that she had not been ill of late, her friends were hardly prepared for the news of her death. She suffered a stroke Saturday night from which she did not rally and the summons came Monday last, at 11 o’clock.

Julia Brading, the third child of John and Jane Brading was born Nov. 1, 1869, at Oakland, Coles County, Ill., and passed from this life December 28th at her home in Buffalo Center, Iowa.

She was married to Chas. Lamb of Oakland, Ill., on Sept. 14th, 1885, at Oakland. In 1888 they moved to St. Louis, Mo., where they lived until 1897 at which time they moved to Buffalo Center where she has lived most of the time since.

This union was blessed with five children, three of whom died in infancy. Those surviving their mother are Mrs. Mary Brunning of Iowa Falls and Chas. Lamb of Estherville.

On September 25, 1917 she was married to Marshall Benson at Albert Lea, Minn. He passed from this life on June 12, 1927 at their home in Buffalo Center.

Besides her son and daughter she leaves one sister, Mrs. Rose Roberts of Seattle, Wash., and twelve grandchildren who mourn her death.

Those from out of town who were here for the funeral were C.P. Lamb of Estherville, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Lamb also of Estherville, Mrs. Mary Branning, Roy and Irving of Iowa Falls and Ray Campbell of Woden.

The funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the M.E. church at 2:30 o’clock in charge of the pastor, Rev. A. Howe. Burial was made in the local cemetery. (Buffalo Center Tribune, Buffalo Center, Iowa, December 29, 1932)
