Herbert W. Koeppen, 50 of 924 Lincoln Ave., died of a heart attack today. He was found in his car at the Vinyl Plastics Co. parking lot at 6:51 a.m. Police were called and rushed him to St. Nicholas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Koeppen was employed by the plastics company and was seen driving into the parking lot at 6:35 a.m. When Koeppen did not report for work, fellow employes investigated and found him in his car.

Last rites for Herbert W. Koeppen who died of a heart attack here Monday, will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Louis Corners east of Kiel. Rev. Adelbert Schultz, pastor will officiate, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Sheboygan.
Born on a Town of Meeme farm near School Hill, Aug. 27, 1911, he was a son of Christian and Alvina Schmidt Koeppen, who still lived on the home farm, R. 1, Kiel. He attended district school and was baptized and confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church Louis Corners, of which he was a lifelong member.
He married Rose Burkard of St. Nazianz, June 21, 1938, following which the couple lived in Sheboygan.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Lloyd, in the US Army, stationed at the Aberdeen (Md) Proving Grounds; his parents; two sisters, Mrs. Arno Wagner, R. 2, Kiel and Mrs. Allen Schwartz, R. 1, Kiel and a brother, Elmer, R. 1, Kiel. A brother, Marvin died in 1937.
