Services for Mrs. C.N. Meek Held At Fort Cobb March 8
Funeral services for Mrs. C.N. Meek were held in the Harvey Funeral hone at Ft. Cobb Wednesday of last week and burial was made in the Fort Cobb cemetery. Rev. Teal of Mountain view preached the funeral sermon.
A Tribute to Mrs. C.N. Meek
Myrtle Daniels Meek, formerly of Oak Grove community but who was living at Pawnee at the time of her death, was born at Cordell March 22, 1896, and died March 5, 1944. She was married to C.N. Meek at Cooperton Oct. 13, 1912, and to this union six children were born, four surviving. Her passing leaves a void for those who knew her that came never be filled.
Mrs. Meek was a true, loving wife, a devoted and wonderful mother and as a neighbor has was supreme, always responding in her kind sweet needy. She was a devout, consecrated Christian and a valiant community builder.
In her busy, active life she contacted people from all walks of life and her friends were numbered by her acquaintances. It can truly be said that to know Mrs. Meek was to love her. Her wonderful influence and the memory of her noble life will long live in the hearts of all who knew her.
She leaves to mourn her loss her husband, four children, Mrs. Sam Walker of St. Joseph, Mo., Clarence of Pawhuska and Doris and Dale Lee of the home address, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
