William J. Albrecht, 71, of Freehold Township passed away at The Manor, Freehold Township after a courageous battle with lung and brain cancer. William was employed by Local No. 696, National Automatic Sprinkler, Union for 40 years. Upon his retirement he and Dolores celebrated by traveling to Florida and enjoying their summerhouse at Cranberry Lake. Hunting at Buckley Farms was one of his favorite pastimes. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Berlin Crisis. William is our hero and now our angel in heaven.

He was predeceased by his father, Sam Albrecht. Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Dolores; his daughters, Lisa and husband Dennis Buckley, Tara and husband Greg Everett, Natasha and husband Walter Perski; his mother, Mildred; his brothers, George and his wife Marel, and Charles and his wife Rosemary; and his nephew Bart. His special joys in life were his grandchildren, Kerrianne, Dennis IV, Ty, Tanner, Sydney Dorothea, Walter Edward, William, Audrey Anna, and Warren. He is also survived by his brother-in-law and best friend, Michael Picciotto and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends.

Visiting was held at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 145 Broad Street, Perth Amboy followed by interment at the church cemetery.
