MISHAWAKA - Beryl Plodowski, 88, of Venice, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. She was born September 8, 1922, in Liverpool, England, to John and Bertha Dowd. Beryl, along with her late husband, Rev. Deacon Andrew Plodowski, raised their family in Mishawaka, IN, before retiring to Venice, FL. They were married 52 years. They were founding members of the People of Praise, a charismatic covenant community. Beryl and her late husband were members of Epiphany Cathedral where she was a devoted volunteer in the Epiphany Gift Shop. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew; her sisters, Marjorie Whitfield and Joyce Boggs; as well as a great-grandson, Aaron William Pauli. She is survived by her children, Krystyna (Jack) Haggerty of Hampden, MA, Barbara (Bill) Gottlick of Granger, IN, and Andrew John Plodowski of Venice, FL. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at Epiphany Cathedral, Venice, FL. Visitation will precede the Mass from 9:00-10:00 a.m. in the Epiphany Cathedral Fellowship Hall. Burial at Epiphany Memorial Gardens will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Epiphany Cathedral.
