He was born in Erie Aug. 17, 1880, son of the late Michael and Josephine (Kerner) Greiner. He was preceeded in death by his wife, Marian.
He was an employee of the Burke Electric for 49 years where he worked as a superintendent, until his retirement 25 years ago.
He was a member of the Cascade Club and a life member of the South Erie Turners.
He is survived by two sons, George of Erie and Francis of Glenside; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Devine III, Mrs. Austin (Adelaide) Behan and Mrjs. Calvin (Geraldine) Hicks, all of Erie; 13 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Jerry (Winifred) Cole of Sarasota, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the A. Burger & Sons Funeral Home, 449 East 9th, Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. And are invited to services Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of the Resurrection at St. Andrew's Church at 10.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
