MARTHA ELIZABETH BARBER daughter of William Barber and Lydiann Frances Cobb. She was born in Jan 1874 in Alabama. She died on 10 Nov 1909 on Dauphin Island in Alabama. She married Lawrence " Boy " Ryan, son of John Augustus Jr Ryan and Eugenia Williams on 15 Aug 1890 on Mon Louis Island in Mobile County, Alabama. He was born in Dec 1871 in Alabama.

Lawrence " Boy " Ryan and Martha Elizabeth "Pinkie" Barber had the following children:

i. AGNES ROSE RYAN born Mar 1892

ii. FRANCIS ELIZABETH RYAN born Dec 1893

iii. LAWRENCE RYAN born 25 Dec 1896

iv. MARY EUGENIA RYAN born 07 Jul 1902

v. JESSE RYAN born 1904

vi. EARL RYAN born 1909

MARTHA and Lawrence both went by nicknames. She went by "PINKIE" and he went by Boy. Leading to her being listed as Mrs. Boy on her death certificate.

After numerous attempts to tried to receive information about her burial in the Dauphin Island Community Cemetery, I was told by Maurice Ryan that she was buried under the large oak tree in an unmarked grave.

He stated "that she was one of 6 individuals who are buried in unmarked graves under the large Oak tree in the center of the Dauphin Island Community Cemetery".

After being contacted by a trustee of the Conn Cemetery in Long Beach, Mississippi the burial place of her husband Lawrence "Boy" Ryan has been discover, he is buried there in a unmarked grave. To this date there have been no documents as to the date of Lawrence "Boy" Ryan's death.
