Son of Jesse Rogers and Salome Bosworth (Bozworth) of Mayflower lineage, Eli is identified in the GSMD Five Generation “Silver Book” 2010 edition. Volume 23, Part 2, page 318 as the ninth child of person ( i ), Salome Bosworth, under #354, Eli Bosworth of the previous page.
Eli married Catherine Heath June 12th 1838, and according to Catherine's obituary December 24th 1913 in the Anoka County Union they moved from Maine to Minnesota as early as 1852, 3 years after the area was organized as a territory and 6 years before it became a state. They settled in Grow Township, now known as Andover.
Eli died 9/3/1868 and a gravesite has not been positively identified, however, Oakwood Cemetery in Anoka was established in 1857, and that is where Catherine is buried under the name of Rogers.
