Romeo (or Romer) was a guard at Wright Field, what is now known as Wright-Patterson AFB, located about 10 miles from Dayton, Ohio.

He was the son of Boyd Henry Craig and Lucy Ann Parker Craig, and the brother of Charles William Craig (1869-1943); Jennie Blanche Craig McFall (1872-1934); Sallie F. Craig (1874 to unknown); William Pierce Craig (1875-1940); Julius Luck Craig (1876-1958); Robert Edward Craig (1880-1971); Graham Craig (1886 to unknown); James Glenn Craig (1887 to unknown); John D. Craig (1891 to 1939); Minnie Lee Craig Childress (1896 to unknown); and twins who were born in 1889 and died in 1889.
