JOSEPH BRYER DIES AT 74,
DIRECTOR OF SAUGUS BANK

Joseph G. Bryer 74 , a founder and director of the Saugus Co-operative Bank and a attorney, with offices in Boston for over 50 years died yesterday at his home 94 Larchmont Road Melrose.

A graduate of Boston University and Boston University Law School, he was a member of the Law Firm of Mahoney, Bryer and Weiss. He was a native of Boothbay, Maine. He was also a director of the Savagran Company of Worcester and a past president of the Beer Hill Country Club. He was a member of William Salton Lodge of Masons of Saugus and the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Bertha (Cowan) Bryer; three daughters, Mrs. Jean B. Miquelle of Melrose ,Mrs. Barbara B. Newport of Reading and Mrs. Eunice B.Spivey of Richmond, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Muriel Lord of Saugus; a brother John Bryer of Melrose, and six grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday at 2 pm in the Melrose Highlands Congregational Church with Dr.Lemuel K.Lord ,Pastor of the First Methodist Church of Melrose officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.

ARTERIOSCLEROTIC HEART DISEASE, 2 YEARS
DIABETES MELLITUS, 20 YEARS
NEPHROSCTEOSIS, 1 YEAR
