HEADED ADOPTION AGENCY: AT 74
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., tomorrow in Morrision Funeral Home in Wakkefield for Barbara (Bryer) Newport, who died yesterday at Beverly Hospital of a heart attack, she was 74.
Mrs. Newport who was born in Saugus and lived in Wenham, who was the Executive Director of the Florence Crittenton League Of Lowel, an adoption agency.
She worked at the agency for 24 years and started the F.A.N.A. program, which brought orphaned Colombian children to the United States for adoption.
Mrs. Newport leaves a son, Richard W. of Gloucester; a daughter Nancy B. Long Island; two sisters Jean Travis of West Barnstable and Eunice Spivey of Richarmond Va.; and a grand daughter.
