Edgar was the son of Anthony Heicken and Mary Ann Buchheit. About 1947 he married Annie Jane Nichols and they had one child, Patricia Ann. He was a retired stemmer for Phllip Morris Inc., with whom he worked for forty years. Edgar died of arteriosclerotic heart disease at the Todd-Dickey Nursing Center at the age of 86.
