Judith Amanda Minerva Blasinggame was born in Kentucky, December 12th 1831, and died at the home of her daughter, in Gypsum, Kansas, on Monday, March 2nd 1908 at the age of 76 years 2 months and 19 days.

She was married to James W. Cook, in Boone county, Ind. Aug. 5th 1852 and to this union there were born seven daughters and five sons, of which four are still living, two daughters and two sons.

They resided in Boone County Ind. until 1873, when they emigrated west living one year in Iowa and then they came to Kansas locating on claims eight miles southwest of Franklin; where they resided until the death of her husband in May 1904, since which time she has lived with her children.

At an early age she united with the Methodist church and lived a faithful christian life and died in full faith of receiving her reward.

She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and was loved by all her acquaintances.
