Here lies interred ye Body of Mr. ICHABOD JONES, who belonged to Marlboro, died with ye Small-Pox, May ye 14th Anno.D 1778 in ye 43d Year of his Age.~

Within this silent Grave is laid:
A worthy Man who always made,
Virtue his chief Regard:
Upright and just, in all his ways,
Till death cut short, his hopeful Days:
To Reap the? great Reward.
