Martha Dolene Marcum, 68, daughter of the late John Tom Loveless and Loma Jane Anderson Loveless, was born May 9, 1920 in Taylor County and died at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 1989 in the Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg.
She was a member of the South Greensburg Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Ivan "Buck" Marcum on October 9, 1937 who survives. To this union three daughters were born: Margaret Geildine Perkins, Batesville, Ark., Betty Carolyn LeClear, Summersville and Sharon K. Upchurch, Louisville.
She is also survived by three brothers: Paul Loveless, Tommy Loveless and Wesley Loveless of Russell Springs; two sisters: Joyce Smith, Bowling Green and Jessie Jones, Bartenville, Illinois; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral was at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 14, in the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Greensburg Cemetery. The Rev. David Turner officiated.
Pallbearers were Phillip Milby, Clinton Kelly, Harold Lewis Sidebottom, Bob Taylor Blakeman, Gary Smith, Kenny Darnell, Eddie Ervin and Dennis Sullivan.
