103 YEARS YOUNG!!
Mattie Sue Dickey.
Going through family records, etc, I found out her middle name, it's mine as well, although I was not named for her. Funny Story, when my Gramma Allen was still living, she wanted to know what her middle name was...guess MawMaw couldn't think of anything else but this....Mattie. lol ALL the sisters had the same middle name!
I don't want to sound unkind here, as MawMaw was NEVER mean to me or treated me badly, but apparently she was not the nicest woman in the world when she was younger.
Details of this are not needed. I remember a little woman not much taller then I was as I grew up. If you pestered her, or told her something she found outlandish, her reply was "OH SHA!" She took good care of me if I was sick, and on many occasions when I busted something open or broke a bone. She always said I could have one of her chicks if I could catch one...that never happened. Grown chickens and Roosters were never a problem, but those chicks were fast!! *grins*
Lived alone until her 90's
This is a woman that once had to go into her barn...saw a huge snake..calmly walked back to the house and returned with a shotgun. She shot the snake to pieces! *grin*
Married 3 times. First to F. Chapman
Second husband Mr. Doggett
Third Mr. Blade. he was the only one I knew and he was an incredibly sweet and kind man. I have very fond memories of him.
Also, there are MANY MORE children that are not yet connected here...I'm finding obits of people I never knew existed!
