The deceased was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., in 1854 and when ten years of age moved to Stevens Point with her parents. Two years later they moved to a town of Marathon farm. In 1872 she was married to Erhardt Lang who died in 1896. The couple lived in the town of Cassel after their marriage. Surviving are ten children, Andrew Lang of Edgar, Mrs. A. P. Schilling of Mosinee, Mrs. Jacob Knauf, William, Conrad and Henry Lang and Mrs. Hugo Vetter of the town of Marathon, Mrs. Frank Wachtl of Mosinee, C. J. Lang of Wausau and the Rev. L. J. Lang of Rozellville; a sister, Mrs. Andrew Lang of Marathon; a brother, C. J. Baumann of Marathon; seventy-two grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.
