Alma Kerr, 93, of OKC, died at her Oklahoma City residence on May 8, 2011. She was born September 30, 1917 in Morganton, Arkansas to John Henry and Vera (Graddy) Brittain. Alma was a beautician, a seamstress for several retail stores. She was also a Rosie the Riverter during WWII. Alma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ross; daughter-in-law Shirley James and a great grandchild, Rachel Lynn Woodall. She was survived by 3 children; Janice and husband Larry Wallace of Norman, OK, Pat and husband Tom Wilson of Corpus Christi, TX and Harold Lee James of Stratford, OK., 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and other family and friends. Services to celebrate her life, officiated by chaplain Bob Willis, were held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 13th at Buchanan Funeral Service Chapel with interment at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers consisted of: Kevin Wallace, Harold James, Scott Woodall, Eric Thomason, Larry Lybarger and Chad Wartchow. Honorary pallbearers were: Hunter Thomason, Brock Wallace, Tyler Davis and Marshall Lybarger.
