Of Burke, VA, passed away on May 4, 2011, at INOVA Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA. She was born April 23, 1926 in Lixouri, Greece. She came to this area seven and a half years ago to be with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a member of St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, Philoptochos and a homemaker.
Survivors include four daughters, Anna Vassilopoulos (George) of Burke, Sia Avgoustatos of Greece, Voula Begley (Bill) of New Jersey, Dionisia Floropoulos of New York, a son, Babis Katsaitis (Christina) of New York, one brother, Makis Kyriakatos (Anna) of New Jersey, 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday May 9, 2011 at Everly Community Funeral Care, 6161 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA from 6 to 8 PM with a Trisayion at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday May 10, 2011 at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Road, Falls Church at 11 a.m. with burial to follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church.
