DEATH CLAIMS E. B. METCALF
MARS HILL - Ellis Baxter Metcalf, 80, a retired farmer of Mars Hill, RFD 2, died at his home Friday afternoon after a brief illness.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Madison County.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Minnie Metcalf; three sons, Gaither and Floyd of Mars Hill RFD 2, and Willard of Swiss; one brother, Lee Metcalf of Mars Hill RFD 2.
Also six daughters, Mrs. Junior Webb of Lenoir, Mrs. Harry Stevens of Cullowhee, Mrs. Loyd Norman of Creswell, Mrs. Raymond Young of Mars Hill RFD 2, Misses Jessie and Velma Metcalf of the home; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Holcombe Funeral Home, are incomplete.
