MARS BILL - Gregg Metcalf, 80, life-long Madison County farmer, died Sunday night about 11 o'clock at his home here following an Illness of 12 years.
Survivors include the widow; two brothers, Lee and Ellis; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Maney of Yancey County; and a number of stepchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 o'clock at the home with the Rev. A. P. Rich, the Rev. Grover Bailey, and the Rev. James Corn officiating. Interment will be in Metcalf cemetery.
Holcombe funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
