Civil war Veteran Answers Last Call
Bartlett Lynch, 87, Sanilac County pioneer died today in his home on Minnie street, after a long illness. He was born in Ireland and came to America when very young. He lived in Carsonville, Sanilac county until 9 years ago, when he and Mrs. Lynch came to Port Huron. He was a mail carrier in Carsonville.
Mr. Lynch was a volunteer soldier in the Civil War. He was past commander of William Sanborn Post GAR and a veteran member of the Knights of Pythias.
He is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. Edward Reysin, Sandusky, and Mrs. Effie Foster, Detroit, and an adopted daughter, Mrs. Robert Newhall, Port Huron.
