MeChan Clark

MeChan was born in the year 2001. She was a full blooded female German Shepherd.

MeChan was found in 2005 at a home where she was being abused and unloved by her owner.

I took MeChan into my home and have cared for her the past 6 years. She was such a delight to have around and she had so much love to share. After a few short months we decided to make MeChan an official member of our family and adopted her.

She had come down with an infection in her eyes ( which we have never been able to determine what the cause was ) and was taken to her local vet for treatment. The infection was cleared up in just 2 days of using antibiotics, but MeChan had stopped eating and wasn't able to get around due to her being so weak. We thought the antibiotics might be the cause for the non-eating and after a few days off them her appetite increased. She was alert and everything looked promising for a recovery.

We had narrowed it down that she may have had cancer, which wouldn't show up this soon on a x-ray or a severe intestinal infection that the antibiotics we had her on couldn't manage.

Then on Friday her white blood cell count peaked a high for no known reason along with a sudden fever. On Saturday, May 14, 2011 at 8:15 a.m. MeChan passed away.

I know she hung on for as long as she could. Isn't it amazing the bond of love has. I had decided that Monday if she wasn't doing any better that I would go ahead and put her down. Little did I know, that she saved me from that hurt. What a sweetheart she was.

MeChan, Your now at Rainbow Bridge. Until we meet again always know how much you are loved.

A very special thank you to Sherri for sponsoring MeChan.
