Annabel (Leach) Hays, 108 N. Market St., St. Clairsville, Ohio passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born January 7, 1918 in Pittsburgh, PA. to her parents, William Leach and Sally Leach. The family then moved to St. Clairsville in 1930 during the "great" depression.

She was a Presbyterian by faith and belonged to the Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville.

Her formal education consisted of attending Elliott Business College and Muskingum College.

She was a secretary, then director of The Young Adult Work Expression Program which was sponsored by CAC of Belmont County.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William T. Hays; two brothers, John T. Leach and William S. Leach.

Surviving are three children, Sally Herman of Brunswick, Ohio, Suzanne Hays of Alexandria, VA., and David W. Hays of St. Clairsville; She leaves 6 grandchildren, Lisa (John) Sikora of Valley City, OH., Donald D. Herman of Canton, Rebecca Hays of St. Clairsville, Jeremy Hays of St. Clairsville, Gabriel (Sarah) Hays of St. Clairsville, and Brooke Hays of St. Clairsville; she also leaves 3 great grandchildren, Joshua and Taylor Sikora, and Jaiden Hays.

Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and on Monday at Calvary Presbyterian Church in St. Clairsville from 12 noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Laurie Armstrong officiating. Burial follows in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
