DEATH OF TIMOTHY P. HAMBLIN

The sad news was received Monday of the death of Timothy P Hamblin who passed away at St. Luke’s hospital, New Bedford, on Sunday, July 19, aged 73 years, 1 month and 16 days. Pneumonia was the cause of death.

Early in March, Mr. Hamblin was taken to St. Luke’s hospital where it was found necessary to amputate his left leg above the knee. Owing to his advanced age, it was feared that he would be would be unable to stand the shock of the operation, but he gradually recovered and went to the home of his daughter, Mrs. Louis T. Robinson. He was slowly regaining his strength when he was taken with an attack of pneumonia which, on account of his weakened condition, resulted fatally.

The remains were brought to Woods Hole, where he had been a resident for many years, and funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational church, Rev. Davis Clark officiating. The pall bearers, were Messrs. Vinal N. Edwards, Wm. E. Taylor, George T. David and Herbert Hilton. Interment was in the Village cemetery. He leaves a widow and two children — Reuben P.
