Irma McCaskill, resident of Owasso passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at Sequoyah Pointe Living Center at the age of 83 years. Irma was born November 21, 1927 at El Dorado, Kansas to Roy C. and Hazel (Munden) McKinney. Irma graduated Towanda High School where she was a member of the Glee Club. She had a variety of pastimes including bird watching, cooking, sewing and gardening. Irma is survived by her children – James C. McCaskill and wife Brenda of Bartlesville, OK, William McCaskill and wife Bonnie of Mannford, OK, Samuel McCaskill and wife Marsha of Claremore, OK, Donna Burger and husband Gary of Owasso, OK and Linda Scholz and husband Richard also of Claremore. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a sister Peggy Fisher of Wichita, Kansas. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Clifton McCaskill, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2011 at the Towanda Cemetery, Towanda, Kansas with grandson Jeff Burger officiating. Arrangements and services have been entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
