Kathryn Waugh Pitts, 85, of
Baltimore, Md., formerly of
Mooresville, died Monday,
Jan. 16, 2006 at her home.
Born Jan. 15, 1921 in Iredell
County, she was a daughter of
the late Roy Milton and Mary
Garrison Waugh. She was a
homemaker and a skilled
seamstress.
Mrs. Pitts was married to
John Edgar Pitts, who preceded
her in death.
A sister, Ruth "Pammy"
Waugh, and brother, John
Franklin "Buddy" Waugh, also
preceded her in death.
Surviving are two brothers,
Roy William "Bill" Waugh of
Mooresville and Charles
Thomas "Tom" Waugh of
Roanoke, Va.; and a sister,
Margaret Waugh Beaver of
Edenton; nieces, nephews
and cousins.
Funeral services will be
held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan.
19 at the Neill Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Mary Louise
Sitton officiating. Burial will
follow in Glenwood Memorial
Park. The family will receive
friends from 10-11 a.m. at the
funeral home prior to the
service.
