She immigrated to the United States in Aug. of 1908 and upon arriving, she married on Aug. 29, 1908, Fred Radmaker, her cousin. They set up housekeeping on his land in Lost Valley. Johanna loved gardening and had one of the most beautiful flower gardens and best producing vegetable garden in the area. She was a excellent cook, taking advantage of the produce from her garden.
They were the parents of 5 children, Raymond, Mildred, Harold, Nettie & Jeanette, 4 of them receiving college degrees.
She was proceeded in death by her husband in 1974.
