Theodore J. Grinde, age 82, of 6316 Roselawn Avenue, Monona, died on Saturday, April 12, 1986, at home. He was born on February 18, 1904, at Morrisonville, the son of Sjur and Bertha (Linde) Grinde. He was a retired farmer. He married Nina Mathison on October 12, 1921. He was a member of the Spring Prairie Lutheran Church. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Elaine (Carl) Hass of Grant City, Missouri, Mrs. Shirley (Angelo) Hiliaras of New Lebanon, Ohio, Mrs. Jane (Ronald) Stradler of Monona and Mrs. Karen (Lucky) Lewis of Monona; a son, Richard R. (Anita) Grinde of Madison; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Helen Sorenson of Wichita, Kansas and Mrs. Ghea Lerdahl of Bradenton, Florida; and two brothers, Archie Grinde of Watertown and Sidney Grinde of DeForest. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nina in 1978; a son, Harris and a sister, Lillian Creps. Funeral services were held at the Spring Prairie Lutheran Church in Keyeser at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 1986. Burial was in the church cemetery.
