First child born to John Jackson and Eliza Marie Cramer on August 19, 1826 in Smithfield Township, Northampton County, Pa. Married Lucy Charlotte Rosencrans. Brother to Anna, Ellen, Julia, Andrew, Sarah Jane, Richard M, Mary E, John and William. Father to Jesse Franklin, Sarah Elizabeth, George, William Henry, Ellen, Mary Jane and Richard Eugene.

Baptised in 1833 at the Hollenbach Church. Before marriage he ran a stage coach between Eastern, Mauch Chuck, White Haven and Wilkes Barre Pa. Fought against the Mollie MacQuires. Lived in Luzerne County for 48 years. Engaged in lumbering and farming in 1880. Was the town clerk and commissioned as Justice for 5 years in Slocum Pa.
