Raised in Torrance, she graduated from Torrance High School in 1939. She married Leo Mock, of Manhattan Beach, in 1942 and lived in Manhattan Beach for 55 years, raising three children. Lucile worked for more than 15 years as an office manager at the Guild Drug in Manhattan Beach. She attended the First Church of Christ Scientist, Hermosa Beach for most of her adult life.
