Frances Bouetta ALLEN was born on February 19, 1893, in Clarks Mills, Pennsylvania. Her father, John Allen, was 23, and her mother, Elfreda Armour Allen, was 26. She was the first born into a family with 3 younger brothers -- John Rodney, Thomas Thurman, and George Burton Allen.

She attended and graduated from Slippery Rock Normal School in 1912, focused on becoming a teacher.

She married Stanley Seward McCURDY on January 15, 1915. They had four children in 10 years.

"Aunt Frances" as I knew her, was an exceptionally kind and loving person. She was very focused on family and was the person who always took care to honor her ancestors, siblings, and family. She was part of the family jewelry business.

She died on November 27, 1972, in Greenville, Pennsylvania, at the age of 79, and is buried in the Shenango Valley Cemetery.
